Staff and Volunteers The Western Cave Conservancy is a 100% volunteer organization. No one is paid for their time, and most of the officers, staff and volunteers choose to absorb many of their own expenses. What then, does "staff" mean in this context? The WCC staff consists of volunteers who have committed significant portions of their time, over extended periods, to conducting the organization's business. Anyone else who has ever stepped up to help put on an event, investigate a potential property, or help in any manner is a volunteer.
